I still like the concept though.

I love the show anyway - The people that give get a lot out of the experience and probably become better individuals for doing it - i always end up with tears in my eyes at their generosity , sometimes i have felt that the people that they given knew it was coming ,but most times it’s totally unexpected .The guy i think its the same guy you mention who gave to the old soldiers and to that holiday home for terminally sick children was one of the most heartbreaking episodes I’d ever seen.They did a catch up programme about him a while back and because he was seen on the show he was reunited with his nieces who he had lost touch with when his sister had died or something like that anyway .I think its a great idea for a show …. long may it reign.

Yes. I think it’s because it’s self-indulgent on behalf of the millionaires. They get to go back to their regular high class lives. They slum it for a week and get to feel good for years probably. It’s selfish.

It’s nice what they do but they are getting something in return.
